Hi all!  Chloe took newborn pictures last week, and we also took some family shots.  Follow the instructions below to view the slideshow of pictures!  Let me know what you think!

Chloe Elise James January 17, 2010

While I have some catching up to do on the blog, I am going to skip ahead and introduce the newest member of our family.  Check back for pictures of Christmas.

For now…

Our little princess Chloe arrived Monday, January 4, 2010 at 9:42 am and weighed in at 7 lbs, 12 ounces and 20 inches long!  I finally got an album together with some pictures from our first week with Chloe! I hope you enjoy! The first half is mainly of the birth from our arrival at the hospital to her arrival to the world! Thanks to my friend Leslie for taking pictures for us! The others are just
random shots from the past week and a half. We are all doing well! Gavin is adjusting surprisingly well!!! He LOVES his little sister and always wants to give her hugs and kisses. He has also been a good helper. I am so proud of him! Chloe went for her first check up on yesterday and she is doing good. She is up to 8 lbs even! She had dropped to 7lbs 5oz before we left the hospital, so she is definitely making it up for it at home! You may notice in some of the pictures that she was born with extra digits on her hands. She had 12 little fingers, just like her mommy! They tied them and they will fall off just like her umbilical stump.  That is all I can think to share right now. I’m the Big Brother! December 21, 2009

I took Gavin to a sibling class at the hospital we are going to deliver at last week.  He had a fun time taking care of his baby and touring the hospital.  He only dropped the baby a few times!  We will not be letting him hold the baby on his own when she comes home.  Here are some pictures from his class!

Nursery Preview December 16, 2009

Baby girl will be here before we know it.  I am still finishing up lots of last-minute projects to prepare for her arrival.  I had some bedding made for her, I just love it!!!!  Here are a few pics.  There is also a pic of a pillow sham that my great seamstress made for Gavin.  They are sharing a room for now, so we are trying to make it flow and have her girly side and his boy side.  Doesn’t Gavin look excited to be getting a baby sister?!?  When we get everything done, I will post a finished picture of the room.  Let me know what you think!

 

Breakfast with Santa December 16, 2009

Well, I took Gavin back to Breakfast with Santa again this year.  He was not a very big fan of Santa like he was last year.  He basically wanted nothing to with him, even though he was excited the entire time we were in line.  He also talked about it nonstop after we left like he had actually enjoyed seeing Santa.  Here are some pictures of him enjoying the crafts and other activities they had.  I will have to scan in and add the Santa picture later.

Let’s Go Caroling! December 16, 2009

Baby Shower #3 December 16, 2009

We were blessed with three wonderful baby showers to help us celebrate our baby girl, who will be here very soon!!!  Our last shower was about a month ago, and was hosted by some of my wonderful coworkers in the Surgery Center at Children’s.  They really outdid themselves and we had  a great time!!!  Here are some pictures from the shower. Thanks to everyone who helped with the shower and blessed us with such wonderful gifts.

Basketball Fun December 16, 2009

Gavin loves playing with his basketball that we got him for his birthday.  He is actually getting pretty good at it too. Here are a few clips of him playing.  When you hit play, the video is just on the first slide.  There is no need to hit next.  It would not let me delete the additional slides.
