Here is a cute series of videos that I made of Gavin the other day. There are three videos put together. The first one is of him counting to ten. On the second one I was trying to get him to say his ABCs, but he changed his mind halfway through. Watch his facial expressions. It is too funny! The last one he finally made it through his ABCs up to P. He gets a little confused when he gets to QRS! Again, watch his reaction. Too Cute! Click the link below to see the video.
I’m Back!!! June 6, 2009
So, I think that this is officially the longest hiatus I have taken from updating the blog. An entire month has gone by! I kept saying I was going to do it and then putting it off for another day. I am going to try to do better from here on out. Brace yourselves for a pretty long post here. We have actually been doing a few things. Here are the happenings for the last month and a half.
I took these pictures after Gavin fought a battle at bedtime and won. He did not want to let go of his basketball, so he went to bed with it!!! And as you can see his favorite little elephant got kicked to the curb!
Here are a couple of pics of me and my baby boy on Mother’s Day! I had a great day hanging out with my boys! They took me out for a nice dinner at Copeland’s.
I just love this picture of Gavin, so I must share. This is a scene that happens almost everyday at our house. Gavin will say “daddy window” so that I will let the blinds up in his room. Then, he patiently sits and waits for his daddy to pull up outside from work.
Count With Me
About a month ago, I was coming in the house with Gavin. I will do a one-two count with him while he walks up the stairs sometimes. We were doing that, and he just kept on counting! He went all the way up to ten!!! I could not believe it! He did skip the number 6, but I still thought it was great! And like my friend Allison said, 6 is of the devil, so that is why he skipped that one! LOL! He has improved alot since this video, but here is what I captured that day. Click on the link to watch.
A Break for Mommy!
I went to Boston Memorial Day weekend for our annual Child Life conference. This was the first time that I had been away from Gavin for more than 24 hours! It was a nice trip and a long overdue break for me! Cory and Gavin went to Helena for the weekend. I missed my baby boy, and fromt he reports he missed me too! He had a bit of a rough time while I was gone, and was very glad to see me when I got back. Here are pictures from my trip to Boston. Click to see the entire slideshow.
This past week we went to Jump Zone with Denise and Emerson so the kids could play. Gavin had a blast! It took me getting in with him at first for him to warm up to the idea. Once he got the hang of it he was all over the place. Of course, we found our way to the basketball bounce house!!! Gavin and Emerson both had fun jumping and bouncing and sliding.
Finally…To Today… and The Peabody Ducks
This morning I finally got around to taking Gavin to see the March of the Peabody Ducks for the first time. We never got around to it last year. Gavin had a great time and enjoyed quacking with the ducks and watching them eat their food.
